SDE (Software Development Engineer) - Frontend

Gully Network is India’s first network of smart neighborhood stores. We are up for disruptive innovations by building a unique tech-enabled B2B2C platform for retailers and their hyper-local customers. In the last few years, the Indian retail ecosystem has witnessed new solutions in B2B supply, POS, Finance, etc. However, there is none to solve 360-degree pain points of retailers and customers.

We offer Savings, Convenience, and Experience to Indian consumers by filling the gap between small format general trade and large-format modern trade. 

We’re looking to bring a talented Software Engineer on board. This position will be based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. 

As an SDE (Software Development Engineer) - Frontend at Gully Network, you’ll report directly into our VP of Engineering.

You’ll be working collaboratively with visual designers, Product managers, application and UI developers, making use of cutting-edge technology to plan and implement truly remarkable products that impress our end-users and merchants while pushing your own professional boundaries.

We’d Love to Talk to You if You Have…

• 2+ years’ experience building high-quality, secure presentation layers for high-visibility eCommerce/ERP/POS webapplications

• Proficiency in: 

• ReactJS
• VueJS/NuxtJS
• HTML5
• CSS3/SCSS
• Javascript.

• Experience with CSS extensions (e.g., Sass, Less) and build tools for JavaScript (e.g., Grunt, Webpack)
• Experience with mobile and responsive application development
• Knowledge in test-driven development: unit tests and integration tests
• Experience with version management systems such as Git and documentation systems like JSDoc
• Understanding of complex processes
• Flexibility and creativity when solving problems
• Willingness for autonomous/discrete work and continuous self-development

Experience And Skills

• Bachelor‘s degree in Computer Science (or a related discipline) with a focus on application/software development
• Hands-on industry experience in web-oriented application design especially for user interface development based on JavaScript frameworks.
• Deep programming knowledge in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Expert knowledge in JavaScript framework Angular/AngularJS
• Expert knowledge in HTML5 and CSS3
• Familiarity in object-oriented programming and functional programming
• Experience in the area of modular and scalable software development
• Work and collaborate within a team
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are required
