JavaScript Developer (R&D)

Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech preferred. Shouldn’t matter if you are great with JS.

Experience: 0 – 2 Years

Job Responsibilities;

• Research and Development of ShieldSquare’s browser-side monitoring JavaScript modules. These modules will be embedded in customer website pages to track and collect the characteristics/behavior of the site visitors.
• Explore and apply novel techniques to build and deploy lightweight JavaScript.
• Improve and deploy the JavaScript code after extensive testing and performance monitoring.
• Closely work with data scientists on feature selection considering tradeoffs between performance and accuracy.

Requirements;

• Deep interest in exploration, learning, and research: learn and apply technologies at a fast pace
• High level of attention to detail
• Interest in working with cross-functional R&D team including Data Scientists and Researchers engaged in protecting websites from malicious bots

Any of the following qualifications are preferred;

• 1/1+ experience in client-side JavaScript development
• Knowledge of handling JavaScript compatibility issues
• Developed JavaScript code which is currently handling real-world traffic
• Knowledge of JavaScript performance optimization, advanced event handling, cookie handling, writing third-party JavaScripts
• Experience in JavaScript compatibility testing tools like BrowserStack, Sauce Labs
• A compelling portfolio of showcase projects
• Contribution to open source projects
• Experience with tag managers
• Experience in node.js
• Knowledge of Python, SQL, and interest in Data Science
