Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Design software solution by analyzing problem definition. Develops moderately complex software using python if necessary shell script, or other selected languages, for products and/or applications consistently following Organization's coding standards and in accordance with applicable software development methodology and release processes
2. Utilizes software engineering tools such as configuration management systems, build processes, and debuggers in the software development process.
3. Creates and executes designs for small sets of new functionality as part of a software project.
4. Collaborates and adds value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions.
5. Provides reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving techniques.
6. Performs technical root cause analysis and outlines corrective action for given problems.
7. Serve as a mentor to less experienced software engineers.
8. Estimate level of effort, evaluate new options of similar technology, offer suggestions to improve processes, and provide comments on design aspects.
9. Apply organization’s Mission Statement and Quality Policy and enthusiastically exhibit a desire to see organization succeed
10. Works collaboratively and professionally with other developers   in cross functional teams to achieve goals.
11. Apply a sense of urgency, commitment and focus on the right priorities in developing solutions in a timely fashion.
12. Review product and/or application information including manuals and brochures for technical accuracy.
13. Participate in product and/or application definition activities including feature analysis and system trade-offs.
14. Perform other duties as necessary.

Required Experience

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
2. 2-5 years of engineering experience with a proven track record of building consumer web and mobile applications or services
3. Expert in Python (Django) and responsive front end design (Angular, Bootstrap, etc.)
4. Self-motivated and accountable
5. Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
